+Recommended for targeted testing for tritium isotopes (also known as H-3) in drinking water. The nucleus of a tritium atom has one proton and two neutrons–as compared to the far more common hydrogen isotope (protium) that has no neutrons.

This Tap Score water test package provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include detailed, quantified analysis of tritium in drinking water.
Tritium is radioactive and as it decays into helium-3, it emits beta particles. While tritium does occur naturally in the environment in very low concentrations, it may also enter drinking water supplies due to leaks from nearby commercial nuclear reactors, as well as from government weapons production plants. While these levels are often very low and tightly regulated, ingesting high amounts of tritium can impact human health–as high tritium levels in cells can damage soft tissues and organs.
